Looking for veterinary student to work in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory. Work study is preferred, but nonwork study students are also encouraged to apply. The position is available immediately and will continue through May 2026 or 2027 (depending on the year of the student) and requires a commitment to work during the summer. First- and second-year veterinary students are preferred, but other students will be considered. During those times when the student is on call, work involves processing samples and working on a rotating basis in the laboratory 8-10 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8-11 a.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays. Duties will also include working on holidays and covering open shifts for full-time staff during summer break. Previous experience helpful but not necessary—you will receive on the job training. Please note that the work schedule is split among six to seven students, and work times are rotated. This is a great way to have steady work with excellent pay, get acquainted with clinicians and the hospital, and learn about laboratory tests.
