Hospital Stories
New reproductive service preserves cat genetics for years to come
Woodford, a 2-year-old Maine coon, recently became the first cat at the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital to have his semen frozen using a specialized process that allows it to be maintained indefinitely for future breeding.
A service for when breeding gets complicated
Jan Thoemke has years of experience responsibly breeding dogs, but when her 18-month-old Cavalier King Charles, Grace, unexpectantly became pregnant, she turned to Washington State University to ensure the safety of her beloved dog and her litter.
WSU to offer reproductive medicine and surgery for dogs and cats
A new service at the hospital makes WSU one of few places in the Pacific Northwest dogs and cats can receive specialized small animal reproductive medicine and surgery.
