Meet the Veterinary Teaching Hospital team: Naomie Macias
Naomie Macias is a licensed veterinary technologist in the Comparative Theriogenology Service at Washington State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where no two days are ever the same. From stallion handling and small ruminant surgeries to managing reproductive emergencies and breeding services, Naomi thrives in the fast-paced, highly specialized world of animal reproduction.
New reproductive service preserves cat genetics for years to come
Woodford, a 2-year-old Maine coon, recently became the first cat at the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital to have his semen frozen using a specialized process that allows it to be maintained indefinitely for future breeding.
