Thomas Wilkinson

Associate ProfessorDiagnostic Imaging

Dr. Wilkinson completed a three-year residency program at Washington State University before heading back to Western Canada, where he worked in private practice for Moore and Company Veterinary Services in the equine field and Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre in the small animal field. During this time, he developed a keen interest in diagnostic imaging, performing radiography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine studies. After three years, Dr. Wilkinson returned to WSU to become a member of the radiology faculty. Prior to his history as a veterinarian, he was a groom/trainer of thoroughbred racehorses from the early 1980s through the late 1990s. This history and vested interest drove his participation in a two-year study of racehorse injuries in thoroughbred racehorses during his residency at WSU.
