Profile
Dr. Marcie Logsdon is an associate professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and has been an integral member of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s Exotics and Wildlife service since 2014. At WSU, Dr. Logsdon completed a Bachelor of Science in 2008 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Since 2017 she has collaborated with the University of Minnesota-based Partners for Wildlife initiative, which is aimed at improving animal welfare in wildlife rehabilitation. She serves as the intern supervisor for the program’s WSU branch.
In addition to providing care to wildlife at WSU, Dr. Logsdon also established a deer rehabilitation facility on her property in 2022 and is currently the only licensed wildlife rehabilitator for deer in eastern Washington.
As part of her commitment to outreach, Dr. Logsdon presents regularly at regional and national conferences, such as ExoticsCon, National Wildlife Rehabilitator’s Association, Washington Wildlife Rehabilitator’s Association (WWRA), WSU Spring Conference and Fall CE event, and the Mountain West Veterinary Conference.
